Office of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Build strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders while acting as the backbone of a busy executive office, keeping everything running seamlessly behind the scenes Full-time, Permanent with a Base salary in the range of $95,361 - $102,302 + 17% super (HEW Level 6) Based at our Vibrant St Lucia Campus. About This Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing executive office at the heart of the UQ. As Senior Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You’ll rely on strong judgement, adaptability, and a proactive mindset to manage competing priorities, coordinate complex schedules, and keep executive operations running smoothly. As part of this role, you’ll work within a collaborative EA network and gain exposure across a large and diverse portfolio, contributing to outcomes that directly impact students and the broader University community Key responsibilities will include: Providing high-level executive support, including complex diary management and prioritisation of competing demands Coordinating and preparing for committee and executive meetings, including managing documentation, tracking actions, and working across multiple systems (e.g. spreadsheets, Outlook and Microsoft 365 tools) Managing sensitive matters, including supporting processes relating to student conduct Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and working collaboratively across the EA network Anticipating needs and ensuring the efficient delivery of administrative and operational support in a dynamic environment About You Significant experience in an Executive Assistant (or similar) role, with the ability to manage competing priorities Exceptional organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and sound judgement A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams A collaborative mindset and a genuine passion for supporting impactful work, particularly in a student-focused environment or similar.
